Ranking & Surveys

Using rankings and surveys

Ranking questions are defined as a survey type of various questions for getting respondents to order a list of answers in a ranked order which leads to obtaining valuable quantitative research data. This type of question allows respondents to identify which objects are most and least preferred. Their integral part are annotations, which help AI-based systems in various processes of recognition, comparisons, targeting, labeling, predicting, and final decision making.

Critical elements of rankings and surveys

The important thing to remember is that ranking questions are not a synonym for rating questions. Rating questions are questions where users are asked to indicate the level of their personal metrics on things, such as the level of frequency, product or service satisfaction level, or agreement on some assumptions.
